CMS CoP Satellite Broadcast on January 22

As we reported in yesterday’s NewsBriefs, CMS’s Survey and Certification Group announced that it will facilitate a satellite broadcast that will provide an overview of the new hospice Conditions of Participation-Subpart C.

The 1 hour 30 minute program is scheduled to air on January 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm ET on the CMS Survey and Certification Training Group Web site. NHPCO’s Judi Lund Person will deliver a brief message on the commitment of the hospice community to work with CMS to implement the new CoPs.

The broadcast is targeted for CMS Regional Office and State agency Hospice surveyors, but hospice providers will be able to access this program without registering. CMS has designed the program to provide surveyors a better understanding of the new conditions of participation and how to conduct a hospice survey using these new conditions.

This program will have a live Webcast and will be available as an archived Webcast following January 22.
