Listening Sessions on Proposed Wage Index

NHPCO Listening Sessions on FY2012 Proposed Hospice Wage Index Rule… NHPCO is hosting two free “Listening Sessions” for provider members to learn more about the proposed rule and to share issues and concerns.  The various components of the proposed rule will be covered briefly, including:

Components of Proposed FY2012 Hospice Wage Index Rule

• FY2012 wage index
• Proposed changes to the aggregate cap methodology
• Proposed updates and clarifications on the hospice face-to-face encounter
• Proposed quality reporting and measures to be used in FY2014

Updates on Issues Not Proposed for Rulemaking in FY 2012

• Updates on payment reform and value-based purchasing
• Redesigned Provider Statistical and Reimbursement Report (PS&R)

There will be time for questions, comments and concerns which NHPCO will use in drafting the official NHPCO comment letter on this proposed rule. NHPCO staff and members of the Regulatory and Quality and Standards Committees will be in attendance to be a part of the discussion.

Registration is needed for the Listening Sessions! Click on the date and time of the Listening Session below that you wish to register for. Registration is limited to one time slot per member organization. Listening Session dates and times:

• Friday, June 3, 2011, 2:00 – 3:00 pm ET
• Tuesday, June 21, 2011, 2:00 – 3:00 ET

If you are unable to participate in either of the live Listening Sessions, the first Listening Session will be recorded and posted online. You will still be able to submit your questions and feedback via email to Regulatory@nhpco.org.  NHPCO values your questions and feedback!
