NHPCO’s Hospice Manager and Development Program (MDP) Foundational Course

Extensive materials and resources are provided during the classroom experience and managers have ample opportunity to collaborate with and learn from their peers. Following the course, additional in-person and online learning opportunities are provided to ensure managers’ ongoing professional development. In addition, participants can engage in a Hospice MDP egroup where networking and problem solving with fellow colleagues enhances the effectiveness of the manager. The Hospice MDP Foundational Course provides five modules:
- Critical Thinking and Decision-Making
- Interviewing, Coaching, Feedback and Evaluation Skills
- Leadership Style and Situational Leadership
- Regulations and Standards for Hospice Managers
- Values-Based Hospice Leadership
Join hospice manager colleagues for an intensive two days of learning that will result in a wealth of practical skills and tools you can apply directly and immediately upon your return to your workplace!
Breakfast and lunch are included. Pre-registration and an additional Hospice MDP Foundational Course fee are required.
Continuing Education for the Hospice MDP
NHPCO will offer 14 hours of continuing education credit for nurses and social workers who complete this course. Attendance for both full days of the course is required.
