Webinar Description
Wound care management is a critically important component of hospice and palliative care and requires a systematic approach for assessment, treatment and evaluation in the context of the patient’s life-limiting illness. This Webinar will discuss the latest wound care treatment options, protocols and evidence-based practices to prevent and alleviate distressing symptoms to ensure optimal patient comfort while also providing families and caregivers the support they need. Through case studies, faculty will illustrate the negative impacts of inadequate wound care and will describe strategies for meeting the emotional, social and physical needs of patients through evidenced-based wound care management.
