This course will provide information on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This course discusses the responsibilities in maintaining privacy and security of protected health information. All individuals working within a healthcare setting need to be aware of HIPAA guidelines. The intended audience is for all home health and hospice employees. This course meets the home health and hospice aide requirements from CMS for 12 clock hours of education per year.
