Infection Control in Homecare and Hospice provides an overview of the infection control practices applicable to care of the patient in the home setting. The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard and the CDC Transmission Precautions and CDC / WHO Hand Hygiene guidelines are reviewed. The intended audience is all home and hospice employees.

Objectives:
- Discuss how the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standard applies to home care and hospice
- Identify what constitutes an exposure incident
- Demonstrate use of universal or standard precautions
- Verbalize measures to prevent needle-stick injuries
