The seventh in a series of ten pediatric palliative care modules, Pediatric Palliative Care-Symptom Management will provide pediatric palliative care practitioners with state-of-the art information about symptom management.

Objectives:

Identify common distressing symptoms experienced by children with life limiting conditions
Formulate a systematic approach to evaluating the following distressing symptoms: gastrointestinal (nausea and vomiting, constipation), respiratory (dyspnea, secretions), fatigue, and neurological (spasticity, agitation and neuro-irritability), and
Integrate symptom management strategies into a patients’ medical care plan
In order to complete this online course and obtain CE/CME credit, the participant must view the entire course, correctly answer all case studies and quiz questions and complete the evaluation.
