• We know the hospice and palliative care community is facing many challenges right now. Our goal for #hapcFacesOfCaring is to showcase the faces and a mixture of positive and authentic stories of hospice and palliative care providers who are in the field, providing care during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a digital campaign and photos and stories will be posted on NHPCO social media using the hashtag #hapcFacesOfCaring.

Here's how you can participate - send us a photo of you and/or your colleagues in the field – a selfie in a mask (be creative!), virtual visits (volunteers, pet therapy, music therapy), volunteers sewing masks- the sky is the limit. Show us how you’re continuing to provide care under the new reality of social distancing. Send us a few sentences to go along with your photo so we can post on social media and let us know what organization you work for so we can tag appropriately. Our hope is that folks will see your faces and remember that hospice and palliative care providers are still out in the field, providing care despite the unknowns, lack of equipment, and exposure to the virus itself. We also hope that by creating this mini-campaign, you can see what other providers across the country are doing to keep spirits up and manage during this challenging time.

If you have a longer story that you would like to share or be considered for the My Hospice blog page, email communications@nhpco.org.

Please note – by participating in this campaign, you are giving NHPCO permission to post your pictures and your story on all our social media account, blog page, and to use in creation of future design collateral for the campaign. If you are featuring a photo or story with a patient, you must ensure that you have permission to do so and have filled out the proper release forms for your organization. Please follow your organization’s policies and procedures when sharing on social media.

We hope you will consider participating in this unique way for our community to gather and share our experiences as we navigate this new reality together.
