The National Data Set represents a comprehensive compilation of information on hospice operations, including:

• Who provides care;
• Who receives care;
• The range, cost and quality of hospice services. 

NDS summary results provide useful information to hospices for defining strategic goals, setting operational targets, and improving care delivery.

• FY 2009 data submission began on March 15, 2010 and ended on May 15, 2010
  Submit NDS data online through the NHPCO DART System. 
• Hospices that are not current members of NHPCO can also submit data.  While there is no fee to participate, membership is required to access summary reports.  For more information about submitting data as a non-member hospice, please send an email to  NDS@nhpco.org.

To begin submitting NDS data, login to the NHPCO DART System using your hospice's NHPCO DART ID (formally known as Provider ID) and DART Password (formally known as Provider Password). If you do not know the DART ID and Password for your hospice, please contact NHPCO Member Services at 1-800-646-6460.
