Medicare Hospice Protection Act of 2008

The tireless advocacy efforts of Hospice Advocates, NHPCO, and the Alliance for Care at the End of Life have resulted in the bicameral, bipartisan introduction of the Medicare Hospice Protection Act, H.R. 6873/S. 3484.  The Medicare Hospice Protection Act would delay implementation of the phase out of the Medicare hospice budget neutrality adjustment factor during fiscal year 2009.
