Hospice Advocacy Activity Pledge

Pledge to Stand with Hospice in 2010

The Hospice Action Network (NHPCO HAN) is recruiting advocate partners to raise awareness on the importance of continued patient access to hospice care. Together, we can lead and mobilize the community to ensure that the hospice story is heard loud and clear on Capitol Hill.  Our patients, and their families, depend on us to be their voice and protect hospice for future generations.

To get involved, take the 2010 Hospice Advocacy Activity Pledge today!

Resources for Fulfilling Your Pledge Activities

Please use the following information and resources to assist you in completing your pledge activities:

I Pledge to request an in-district meeting or a program tour and I will provide feedback!

  • Let’s keep hospice on the minds of Congress during the August Recess. Use the resources in the NHPCO In-District Action Kit (Word) to request a meeting or program tour, plan the meeting, have the right leave-behinds ready and send out your thank-you notes.
  • Let us know how your in-district activities go, by providing quick online feedback here.

I Pledge to recruit five new Hospice Advocates to the Legislative Action Center.

  • Sometimes, advocacy is a real numbers game. It helps Members of Congress focus on an issue if they hear from multiple constituents that it is a priority. That’s why it’s always important to grow our grassroots ranks by recruiting new Hospice Advocates. Use the following resources to tell your co-workers, friends, family, babysitters, and neighbors about Hospice Advocacy today:

Online Tell-A-Friend Email

Advocate Recruitment Flyer

I Pledge to forward this Hospice Advocacy Activity Pledge to at least five people.

  • Nothing could be easier. Just forward the email announcing the Advocacy Pledge to your friends and family. Surely, five of them will want to take the Pledge to stand with hospice, too!

I am interested in making an online, secure donation to fund Hospice Advocacy activities.

  • You can support Hospice Advocacy Activities by making a small, online contribution.  Whether it is $5 or $500, your support would be greatly appreciated.  Please click here to make a secure online donation.

Good luck, and thanks so much for your Hospice Advocacy!

Let us know your ideas!  If you have other ways you would like to support hospice, or if you have any questions or would like to request assistance from a member of NHPCO’s Hospice Action Network team, please feel free to contact us anytime at han@nhpco.org.
