Biographical Profile

Linda Todd, RN BA, is the Director of Hospice of Siouxland in Sioux City, Iowa.  Linda has been active with this organization for the past twenty seven years.  Through the course of the years, Hospice of Siouxland became a joint venture of Mercy Medical Center and St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center.  In 2001, a community-based palliative care program was developed and continues to be operational.  The palliative care program led to the development of the first PACE program in the State of Iowa and there continues active participation with both hospitals to develop inpatient palliative care.

Linda Todd has been actively involved in both Iowa and Nebraska state associations and has served in leadership positions. She also has been a past board member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in 1999 -2004.  Since that time, she has served on several NHPCO committees and currently serves on the FHSSA/NHF Board and serves as Treasurer; as well as serves as a current member of the NHPCO Rural Task Force.  In 2000, Linda testified at a Senate Special Committee on Aging and in 2011 she was invited to be a member of the expert panel for a MEDPAC related to palliative care.

Throughout her career, Linda Todd has completed several education presentations related to hospice and palliative care at the local, state, and national level.

She graduated from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa and attended Sioux Falls College in Sioux Falls, SD to receive a BA degree in organization management. She has worked as an assistant head nurse for a post surgical unit and a physician office clinic nurse prior to her employment with Hospice of Siouxland.
