Hospices that join NHPCO Quality Partners share a commitment to promote excellence and improve quality in hospice care. The Quality Partners web pages include information on how to become a Quality Partner, detail on the Ten Components of Quality for hospice, and access to the Self-Assessment System.

Countdown to Quality Reporting includes information and resources to assist hospices in meeting the new CMS quality reporting requirements. The web page provides links to key CMS web sites and documents, as well as materials on implementation of the required performance measures.

NHPCO offers multiple tested performance measures that yield useful, meaningful, and actionable results. NHPCO also provides comparative reporting of results for these performance measures as a member benefit.

The 2010 Standards of Practice for Hospice Programs are organized around NHPCO’s Ten Components of Quality for hospice care and provide a framework that delineates the structures and processes critical to the provision of quality hospice care.

The QAPI Resources web page offers access to NHPCO’s QAPI resources and training, links to other national quality initiatives, and a connection to quality materials from NHPCO’s Marketplace.
NHPCO’s Staffing Guidelines for Hospice Care Teams document is designed to help each hospice determine its unique staffing requirements based on its model of care, delivery characteristics, and environmental considerations. 
The Quality Updates and Resources page includes informative articles by NHPCO Quality and Standards Committee members, links to external web pages related to quality, and updates on happenings in the world of hospice quality.
