NHPCO Meeting Community Needs

For the 2023 Annual Leadership Conference, NHPCO has created Meeting Community Needs, an initiative working in partnership with host cities to impact positive change based on the needs of the local community. The NHPCO Professional Education Committee and the Conference Planning Committee working with NHPCO’s Diversity Advisory Council and local members selected equity, access, and LGBTQ+ rights as the common issues of focus. Our aim is to show how hospice and palliative care providers and industry partners can do well by doing good in the host cities where we meet.

For the 2023 Annual Leadership Conference, NHPCO is partnering with the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau and local organizations. Together, we are exploring the initiatives below:

- - Education led by NHPCO’s Diversity Advisory Council
  - Legislative and grassroots education led by the Hospice Action Network (HAN)
  - Outreach to local nonprofit organizations for service project engagement
