This course covers the pathophysiology and management of the three most common types of lower extremity ulcers: venous ulcers, arterial ulcers, and diabetic ulcers. The objectives of this course include differentiating between the assessment findings for the most common types of lower extremity ulcers, defining modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors associated with lower extremity ulcers, and identifying the recommended treatment strategies for each type of lower extremity ulcer.
