Course Description

Healthcare professionals are challenged to chart a path forward that focuses on optimization of health rather than just treatment of disease. There is a dawning realization of what it truly takes to assure an organization’s clinical and financial success under this new imperative. Achievement of the “quadruple aim” of better health, better healthcare, lower costs and provider joy in work involves more than just what goes on the hospital or the physician office. The best results are coming from activated communities where information flows from many sources and there is genuine engagement in the lives of patients. “Come and get it care” is a thing of the past and patient-driven design and delivery is becoming the essential business strategy in healthcare organizations of all sizes and types. When the patient experience guides design, we can create a health care system worthy of those who depend on it literally for their lives.

Discover how this seismic shift in healthcare will influence and impact the provision of hospice and palliative care and how to improve the quality of care for all patients/families, regardless of the outcome.
