Today, during the December meeting of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, the MedPAC commissioners considered a draft recommendation to reduce the fiscal year 2020 Medicare payment rate for hospice by two percent. This recommendation is a departure from recent years when MedPAC recommended a 0 percent update for hospice reimbursement.
