Legislation and Advocacy for the Hospice and Palliative Care Community

Senator Jacky Rosen
U.S. Senator for Nevada

The conference will kick off on November 4th by remarks from Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV).  Senator Rosen is a freshman senator from Nevada and has first-hand experience with both hospice and palliative care as a caregiver.  Senator Rosen’s service in Congress began with support of the hospice and palliative care community when she served in the House of Representatives.  In 2018 then Representative Rosen created the bipartisan Palliative Care Task Force in the House of Representatives to increase awareness and support for bipartisan solutions to expand access to palliative care so that the quality of life of millions of Americans managing serious illnesses could be improved.  Senator Rosen continues to be a champion for hospice and palliative care in the Senate and serves on the Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee.
