As Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel at Omnia Healthcare Group, Kate oversees Omnia’s legal, strategy, and compliance departments. Kate works closely with executives and other departments to provide guidance on a wide variety of regulatory, compliance, labor and employment, risk management, policy, business, and strategic matters. Kate also serves as the Executive Advisor to the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization on regulatory and compliance matters.

Prior to joining Omnia, Kate was the Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President of Quality and Risk Management at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care. In that role, Kate managed the legal and quality departments of a nationwide hospice and palliative care company for over seven years. Under her leadership, Seasons successfully challenged several government audits and investigations and became a nationally recognized leader in quality and compliance. Upon Seasons’ acquisition by AccentCare, Inc., Kate continued to serve as Deputy General Counsel, focusing primarily on the regulatory and policy issues facing AccentCare’s hospice, home health, and personal care divisions.

Kate began her legal career in Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren’s Health Care Practice, where she worked with health care providers, including post-acute care providers across the country, on a full range of regulatory, compliance, and business issues. Kate also assisted providers with various repayment and compliance issues. She has spoken often at national conferences regarding legal and compliance issues facing healthcare providers. Before starting at the firm, Kate worked at Boston University Schools of Law and Public Health. Kate received her BA in History from University of Wisconsin–Madison and her JD from Boston University
