Stephanie is the Manager of Grassroots Advocacy with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and its advocacy affiliate, the Hospice Action Network (HAN). Since starting the role in April 2023, Stephanie has engaged with hospice and palliative care advocacy at the grassroots and grasstops levels. In her role, Stephanie manages HAN advocacy communications (action alerts, advocacy updates, social media posts, blog posts), the HAN website and grassroots database, advocacy training for various groups, and the MyHospice Ambassador program. She also plays a vital role in organizing and carrying out the annual Hospice Action Week event, bringing hospice and palliative care advocates from across the nation, the care continuum, and spectrum of advocacy experience to Washington, DC to meet with their members of Congress.

Previously, Stephanie earned a dual Master’s in Public Affairs and Public Health and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in health policy. During her studies, she worked with the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Wisconsin Evidence-Based Health Policy Project. She also holds a BA from Beloit College in Beloit, WI. Prior to working with NHPCO and HAN, Stephanie has worked most recently with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in grassroots advocacy.
