NHPCO invites members of the hospice and palliative care community to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for upcoming Project ECHO sessions.   NHPCO membership is not required for SME participation.

SMEs are members of the multidisciplinary consultant team who participate alongside ECHO case presenters to:

      • Pose clarifying questions
      • Offer recommendations
      • Highlight teachable moments

We are seeking SMEs of all disciplines with hospice or palliative experience in subject areas including clinical, quality, ethics, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), and more.

If interested, please complete the form below to be added to our roster of potential SMEs.  The NHPCO Quality Team will engage with potential SMEs throughout the year prior to monthly ECHO sessions.

Quality Connections Program Benefit – Participation as a Subject Matter Expert for a one-hour Project ECHO session counts as an activity toward closing the Quality Connections Innovation Ring.
